A puppy, who was found with a hair tie tied tightly around her snout, was taken to a no-kill animal shelter after being mistreated.
The hair accessory was deeply embedded, affecting the bone and leading to a swollen face that tripled its size. Luckily, Cincinnati Animal CARE offered immediate medical attention, extracting the hairband and stitching up the extensive wound. The shelter staff affectionately named her Tiffany, in homage to their preferred pop artist from the eighties.
According to reports, the hairband was used to silence the young puppy from barking, similar to zip ties. The animal center’s horrific Facebook posts exposed the extent of the abuse. Despite the trauma, Tiffany exhibited remarkable resilience during her emergency care and spent the night with one of the medical staff. She is currently recovering under the care of the Good Samaritan who rescued her and is eating and drinking well. Tiffany’s swollen face has improved significantly, and she is gradually healing after being sewn up. Cincinnati Animal CARE is looking for information on Tiffany and her abuser, and PETA has offered a reward for anyone who can help apprehend the perpetrator. If you have any information about the incident, please contact Hamilton County Dog Wardens at 513-541-7387.
Cincinnati Animal CARE shared an exciting update about Tiffany, the adorable puppy they took in. According to the animal shelter’s Facebook post, Tiffany recently visited them and her sutures are healing remarkably well. The shelter staff also mentioned that Tiffany is thriving in her foster home with kind-hearted individuals who generously took her in. It’s amazing how animals can bounce back and be happy despite their previous circumstances. Tiffany is a shining example of resilience, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her bright future!
